Nagar Natural Cricket Stadium
Pisan Natural Cricket stadium is located in district Nagar of Gilgit Baltistan. It came under the spotlight in January 2021 after sharing a beautiful picture of this stadium on social media by a local journalist. It became an aspiration for cricket lovers across Gilgit Baltistan. This Stadium is within walking distance of 1 hour from Pisan Main Bazar. It is around 1.5 km above the Main Bazar. It is under Rakaposhi and Diran peaks. This makes this stadium more unique and stands out from the others. The temperature in this area is peak summer at 20°C when all of the cities of Pakistan face heat waves.
The pisan stadium has huge fans within a moment of days. The reason is the lush green carpet under the mountains. Its located under the Rakaposhi (Rakaposhi means in the local language shining walls).
The government of Gilgit Baltistan has decided to construct a cricket stadium at Pissan surrounded by the perfect natural scenery of Nagar Valley in the 2021 year.
In January 2021, PCB posted some pictures of Gawader Cricket Stadium on their official account and challenge the cricket fans to show a more beautiful than the Gawader stadium. In the answer to the challenge by PCB, Umar Gul shared a picture of the ground on his official Twitter account. He had asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to take notice of its potential for international cricket. He wrote “Nothing can beat the beauty of our very own Pakistan this is the Pisan Cricket Ground in Gilgit how breathtaking is this! I would request the newly elected CM Gilgit Baltistan to look into it n help the players thereby providing them will all the facilities.” His wish was granted when Chief Minister announced the news on Twitter, and also tagged the Pakistani cricketer in it. Gilgit-Baltistan's Chief Minister announced on Twitter that a new cricket stadium will be built in the region. The decision was taken by the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ehsan Mani, and the Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan. But unfortunately, this decision was taken on 10 February 2021 but no implementation of this decision. As a citizen of Gilgit Baltistan, we demand to the government of Pakistan especially CM Gilgit Baltistan and Chairman PCB construct the stadium in Nagar and also construct the metallic road to the stadium.
Every year thousands of national and international tourists visit to see natural beauty. In 2021, 30 thousand tourists visited this ground. I just suggest you see the beauty of nature in Pisan Natural stadium in Nagar.
